Bio
Anthony Urbano is a classical composer from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA. He made his public debut in January 2010 at the age of 16 when his short cantata “Memoirs of the Bach Festival” was selected to be performed by the Bach Choir of Bethlehem and Bach Festival Orchestra under the direction of conductor Greg Funfgeld. Urbano graduated from Lafayette College, in Easton, Pennsylvania in 2015 with a double Bachelor of Arts degree in Music and German. Continuing his musical education, he graduated with distinction from UCLA extension's Film Scoring Certificate Program in 2017. He has composed over a dozen works including but not limited to five chamber symphonies in the traditional Italian Overture setting, two string quartets, one hour long American light opera, and several sonatas and trios for various instruments. He continues to hone his compositional voice, and especially loves bringing the diatonic and chromatic systems into the 21st century through new composition within those tonal systems. He currently resides in Eastern Pennsylvania.
